Hey there.

Back when I was younger, i did a lot of magic and used almost all my sparetime training and performing for friends. Since then, some years has gone without i've done anything magic-related at all.

Now i've started going to nightclubs in the weekends with my friends, having a good time and meeting new people.

Yesterday evening, a thought came up in my mind. I dont have any intentions going out just to show magic, but when I'm there anyway, talking with new people - it would be very cool to have 2 or 3 tricks laying ready in the pocked to show to people.

So. Which tricks would you guys recommend for this kind of situations? I want it to look really casual, without being the "gimmicked funny guy".
I'm looking at Calen Morelli's dresscode at the moment, which seems really nice.

Thanks already!

Off the top of my head, effects that don't really require people to listen.

-Dresscode
-Thread
-The Match Bite Wayne Houchin does on Art of Magic
-In a Flash

When I remember more I'll edit this

Some sort of ring flight.
Keymaster
Sponge napkins, (from on the spot; Greg Wilson)
The lipstick effect (can't remember the name) from the same DVD.
Crazy mans handcuffs
If you have some paper, you can do stigmata, or a osterlinds centre tear.

All I can think of right now.

years ago, early 70's, before I became a magician, I worked with this one guy in Wisconsin. Well one Fri night after work we went out and had a drink. He spots a beautiful young lady that he wants to meet so suddenly out of his hand comes this fire ball. Scares the crap out of the whole bar and we both got thrown out. Needles to say him and his flash paper didn't succeed in picking up women. But is was funny and we were luck we didn't get arrested for inciting panic. Just remember to have fun and entertain others.

Get Greg Wilson's "on the spot" (it was previously recommended) Lots of good impromptu stuff that would be great to entertain friends at the bar.

Also, check out this. http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=S11470

Thirded (is that a word?)

Warning by Kostya would be fun at a bar. But costs 25c a performance.

D'lites work great for me at night clubs. Get up on the dance floor and pull them from the flashing lights, vanish them, find them in a girl's ear ect... It's a great way to get attention. Add some more effects and people will buy your drinks all night!
