I'm 14 and I'm going to start doing table-side magic at a local restaurant, and I was wondering if anyone had some tricks that go good at restaurant.

No doubt someone's gonna say this so I'll say it first: You can't start working restaurants if you don't know what material you are going to do.

Now that that's out of the way, you can all start your suggestions.

My friend who is a professional magician is giving me some tricks and help, I just wanted someone else's advice.

Fair enough but if he is the one encouraging you to do this then it raises questions about his, "professionalism." It is generally considered a good idea to become an accomplished amateur first before starting a professional career.

Yep, Hey as long as you don't live near me go ahead. If you have to ask this question when you have a mentor it shows 2 things. 1. Your mentor is fairly sloppy and a very poor teacher. 2. you are NOT ready to go pro.

The reason I don't want you near me is you are going to burn any restaurant you go into. We have a hard enough time because people don't respect magicians, then when a kid comes in and acts like the cute kiddie showing off his tricks it makes us appear to be worth the bad rep.

Your "professional magician" friend is defiantly like the old "uncle" who pulls coins from a kids ear. A never was that gives free shows to poor kids and pretends he is a pro.
