What do you guys think? Is there any real pro to buying a stand and case (in my case looks like I can get both for $120) from a magic shop online (not Penguin) or just buy a dinner stand at walmart and a nice cloth to cover it from an art store and then a case from Home Depot for 20 bucks.

Just trying to decide which way to swing. I can save a lot of money not buying from the magic shop and doing it myself. Thoughts??

Only if the retail set-up has a feature you absolutely have to have. Enjoy your self put together system!

I use a restaurant tray stand and then I went to Home Depot and bought a shelf board 22" X 12" ran some molding around three sides to catch anything that might roll off. Attached my savant and it's good for busking, parties, restaurant whatever work you want to do.
