I am looking for a device that would allow me to tell what hand a spectator is holding a coin, ball, other small object, etc...

Can anyone tell me which ones they hear are good and which ones are supposed to be not too good?

I do not want to spend $500 on "Probe" I believe it is called.

Thanks in advance,

-Ari :)

I don't think this counts as exposure...cause i don't think its really an effect....I can guess which hand about 90-95% of the time simply because most people don't think to make both hands the same size...so the one with something in it (though only slightly larger)is the correct hand. What do you want to use the for?

Was thinking of some type of magnet system where I can always know what hand or whom is holding an object on stage, etc..

I've heard of people combining these two things:

It's an interesting concept - maybe that might get your creative juices going.

I don't think this simple method would count as exposure either, but you probably know it already. You turn your back and ask the person to put the hand with the object up to their forehead. You wait a few seconds. Then you tell him to put both his hands side by side at his waist level. You turn around, and the fist which appears whiter is the one with the object, because the blood has flown out of that hand.

PK ring and a hidden second magnet in whatever they're holding seems to be the simplest. If your ring is a size too big it makes it easier to "read" as it'll wiggle and you can feel the sensations easier on your finger.

I received a demo of Minimax and it works as expected. You can always tell which hand the object was in. My problem was that I didn't think that routine was very strong. You can repeatedly guess something that has a 50/50 chance. Hohum...Lots of potential explanations...not so exciting.

As an alternative, I was demoed Truth by Paul Richards. Much better effect in my opinion. Done with 5 poker chips - each a different color. The Presentation is as a human lie detector.

Coincidentally, this just came out: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2630. You probably got an email about it, but I thought I'd remind you.
