Anyway, I've been looking into PK pens for about a year and, although I've found some consistent information, I have a few questions.

First off the bat is the best pen. I've heard nothing but excellent reviews on Banachek's pen. For ~$20, it's not bad. But what about the others? What do you own and how does it stack up?

My second question is about the gimmick. I already use a pen for performances that I like very much (the Fischer Space Pen. It's worth every penny.) and If the gimmick or a book explaining the construction was sold, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

So I suppose my question is this: Is there a resource to find out how the pen is made and if not, Which is the best pen (price is not an object in this instance.)

Theres not that Many Pk pens around?

Theres some sold with a M in it but you could easily make that. Banacheck's one is the cleanest and simplest method (100% hands off). Theres some ITR pens which i guess could be considered PK pens. Theres also one i have with a remote control, but it sucks because you need to change battery every performance.


If you asking to make a pk pen using your pen, then only way to do it is via putting a M***** in it. Otherwize you can use the Banacheck pk pen for normal writing anyway and it looks like a bic pen.

I prefer Banachek's PK Pen. It is the most innocent in appearance, and this makes is easy to switch in or plant someplace, which always makes the effect stronger.

The real reason that I prefer it to others is that if it stops operating properly, I can make another for myself in about ten minutes. This means they can be personalized for the performing environment, which is an obvious bonus.
