I recently got hired to do a magic show at a Birthday Party Does anyone have any suggestions for good tricks, and stuff at this birthday Party (**It is for 8 yr olds), ones that are easy, amazing, and the younger kids can understand. <br>Thanks

Try a svengali deck of cards. Have the kids push their finger in the deck as you are riffling through it. <br>No matter where they put their finger in, the card under their finger will always be the same card. <br>Act like you are annoyed after you tell them to select 2 cards. It is very funny! You're welcome.

i agree with sean.....svengalli = big hit. you should also consider sponge balls. there easy to learn and kids love it when magic happens in their hands, give it a shot. The raven is good if you have money to spare, i put the raven into my show awhile ago and i still love it.(so do spectators)

a couple years ago i did a couple parties around that age group. One of the parties i did some experimenting and threw in the virginia city shuffle, a Michael Ammar trick (excellent if you havn't seen it yet)and i expected a few blank stairs of kind of noticing what just went on, i was in for a surprise. They went nuts! from that day i learned to never under estimate your audience, kids can grasp onto alot more then most people belive, so do preform the svengali, but dont hesitate to also put in NFW or something like Meir Yedid's Marx cards. It will steal the show! <br> <br>Have fun! there is no more attentive audience to magic then kids...and the more you enjoy it the more they will too
