The thing i did not realize is how hard it is on your voice. It was loud and somewhat smokey. All the patter leaves me with a small sore throat. I guess ill get used to it.

3 hours and 90 dollars. You could've done 1 with 90. It will come with time.

I'm not sure what the restaurants in your area are willing to pay, however, I wouldn't have charged less than $50/hour. Anyway, you did...and you got the gig. Congratulations. Did you pull any tips in?

Ok, yea... I just wasn't sure if you went into the restaurant and started performing without the manager's approval. (This would not be good)
Anyway, what effects did you perform?

Thanks,

Austin Waldo

Sounds like you are off to a great start. Did you get any tips?

You need to be careful when dealing with the wait staff. Don't let them know how much you are getting paid as they may take offense to the disparity in what you make and their wage. Treat the wait staff like gold as they can make your life fun or awful.

I got a 5 dollar tip from one guy but i gave it to the waitress for 2 reasons.

1. I didnt want her to see me taking money from a cust.
2. she looked real nice in her black pants

Actually its a good idea to toss a couple of bucks to waiters especially if you are going to work there again. Then they wont mind you takeing some of their buisness and they will be sort of buddy buddy with you.

Agreed laxmaster92, with the exception of the last comment in which I assume was a joke.

At $30/hour, you should be keeping everything you get. You were tipped because they either enjoyed what you show them, or they felt obligated. Keep it professional because you're being paid. When you're on your own time, then go for it.
