i heard that on the 1st of june jay sankey is releasing a dvd called
THE REAL WORK ON RESTAURANTS AND BARS. does anyone know anything more about it?

I do not know much about it at all but I have a strong feeling that this DVD is going to lean way more towards Bars rather than restaurants. If it does lean towards bars that would make this DVD pretty much useless to 98 percent of the people on this forum.

What makes you think that this will be focused on Bars rather than restaurants? Just curious.

Jay has a way of letting us down while keeping us happy.

i don't agree. I have yet to be "let down" per say by sankey stuff, some is great, and some is not so great, but nothing is bad in my opinion. and lots of magic is transferable from bars to regular restuarant stuff. I think I'll be checking this out.

No trust me I like Jay just as much if not more than you. What I mean is I have pretty much all of his stuff but I use very little of it. He is more of a good sales man. He knows how to make something look good so that Magicians will buy it. I have a feeling that Jay himself only uses about 85% of the stuff he has put out. The rest of the stuff is probably material he has not put out because of how good it is and how much he uses it.

I can give you an example of how he has let me down and keep me happy.

Most of the material on this DVD was not very good. But it was extremely funny and entertaining and I enjoy watching it.

i have just recieved the front row sankey dvd and it is brilliant. this is definately geared for the restaurant situation. Also a lot of the material is usable. Normally you might use just 4 or 5 routines but on this dvd there is only a couple of the 16 routines that i probably wont use. i would definately recommend it, one of his best.

Yeah Front Row Sankey was one of his better one's. But I think there were more than four throw always.
Before you get your first restaurant job you always think you are ready. You think I know so many trick and I have a lot of good routines and I have performed a lot for family, friends, or at school. But when you get your first job performing in a restaurant, you will find that you are not as ready as you though you would be.
Jay has a lot of good stuff and with a lot of new ideas but only about 10% of his stuff you are instantly setup after performing it. It sounds like it is not that important but once you start performing professionally you will realize how much more you like ACR rather than In A Flash, etc.
Most his material is not practical for a real restaurant performer, although I love seeing all of his different ideas.

All i wish is that JAy spent more time on his effects, when you buy jays effect your buying really raw material, and his new methods are appealing to magicians but nopt so much as to the lay.
