I have recently been seaching for a resturuant gig and finally got one.

Friday and Saturday night. 6-9pm

I get free dinner. and get paid plus tips.

This will be temporary and then i will be a long time magician at the same resturaunt but a different location, until i find something better.

I finally had the time to go out and search for one and i got it and the search is still going good because i am still looking for a better place to go. Because I am always looking to get bigger and better things.

I also sat down with a local professional resturaunt magician down here and he gave me inside tips and even had me go with him to his restuarunt gig. I have done my research and learned from some of the best i know.

I just thought I would let you guys know the good news.

My friend (pro magician) already booked that place but he is leaving town. So he asked me to take over. I also made a deal with the manager (if he likes me) to refer me to the other location once the regular magician gets back in town. He said he will refer me no matter what.

Fuddruckers is the place.

How much are you making, and how do you justify that price?(or is it just a price you pulled out of the air which seemed fair).

I am making $300 per night plus tips and I work 3 hours. I am actually just taking the price that the other guy was charging. And when I get relocated I will try my best to up the price. Always try to achieve more.

for my first resturaunt gig it is pretty good.

One night alone will pay for my trip to TAOM in Dallas. Plus more!

John, are you table-hopping or are you performing on stage as a sort of "dinner-entertainment"?

thanks.

Yea, the resturaunt isn't the best one to perform at because it has 3 different sections. But I will take a gig when I know I can pull it off. AndI am always looking for something better while i'm doing it.

I will be table hopping.

I am hoping one day i will table hop and once a month do a show on stage. I know one of my friends does that.

Wow! $100 an hour plus tips for table hopping! That's insane! You're very lucky that you found that job, John.

Dogs perform tricks...magicians perform effects..

I perform, cards...copper silver brass, electric touch, TT stuff, etc..

Its all about presentation with those effects. With any effect.
