1.Should I bring a Close-Up Case?
This varies from person to person, personally I'd work out of my pockets, but some people like to have it with them.
2.Were would I keep a Close-Up Case
Again, varies from perosn to person. Many people carry it with them, and lay it down to perform. Some people choose to lay it in a private location.
3.If I am hired how many days a week should I work?
This is between yourself and the manager. You have to decide what would benefit the restaurant most. You could do one night a week for a kids night or something, or you could do a couple times a week. Whatever the manager thinks would be best.
4.Should I Buy new decks before I do the gig?
Not necessairy, but don't use an old one. Make sure they look to be in good condition and clean, and you feel comfortable with them(so they're broken in).
5.How many decks should I bring to the restaurant, if I am going to be doing tricks where cards are given away at the end?
If you're using cards in a restaurant gig, bring atleast 2-3 decks. If you're ONLY using cards in the gig, bring another deck or 2, just incase.
6.How many business cards should I have on me?
As many as you can comfortably fit. Bring atleast 40-50. You may only hand out 5-10, but always have lots there. But don't just hand them out to anyone, remember you're paid by the restaurant to entertain their guests, not profit off of them. If you're asked by a guest for a card, by all means give them one, but never negociate with them at the restaurant- don't even tell them your prices, wait until you're talking to them on the phone. You can do one of 2 things, you can give htem the card and tell them you will negociate over the phone. Or you can give them your card, and then ask for their phone number and for a good time to call them. That way, you will be guaranteed to speak to them, and more likely to book the gig.
