I have been doing magic for about 2 years now and thought doing restaurant magic would be a good way to earn a few extra bucks while in college (attending UGA). I wondered if anyone could suggest a few restaurants I might want to consider. Also, a question for anyone, how many years did you perform magic before you started doing restaurant walk around?

As for the restaurants, anything that anyone recomends to you, will be a large chain (considering it would be a restaurant you already know, and in multiple locations). These are going to be much less likely to hire you. You want to try to work at independantly owned places, they have more control, and have proven to be easier to get the job.

As for chains, I'd heard something about Applebees, Chilli's, TGIFridays, and some others. If you want to work here, be prepared to do alot of work to get hired, and it'll probably take a long time. Good luck.

I work at two diff locations and they both were one trip meetings to get hired

i got my job by handing out flyers, make them look decent and not tackey the employer will like you much more for it.

Good thing you got the job.. I would not recommend handing out flyers though. Go in and be formal, and professional, show them a sample of a show, and maybe give them a promotional packet.
