There are also some good packet tricks available. Shop around. Remember, in doing walk around one needs the quick reset to no reset of effects.

I am in the exact same positon, I think you should get down a good and basic ACR, thats one of the strongest impromtu effects you can do, and its perfect for resturant. If you do get a job at a resturant let me know.

If you want more information on working at a restuarant, look up Kirk Charles. He has some very good information on the subject, like how to get a job, what you should do to make a good impression and basically everything you need to know.

No, you could use the Raven, but I personally think you shouldn't.

ok here are some of the effects that I would reccommend.

+Flash Paper to Hershey Kiss (or something) [to get their attention]
+ACR
+Any sort of Invisible Thread (If in correct lighting)
+AoA Effects
+Greed
+Ultimate Transpo - OZ Version
+On the Spot Effects
+Torn
+Special Delivery
+Watch Steal
+Sponge Balls
+Invisible Deck
+Blizzard
+NFW
+The Raven
+Paperclipped
+Torched and Restored Card
+Bite Out Quarter
+Phoneomenon (I don't really have use for it, but it might work for you)
+STS (Maybe)
+PK Ring
+Impromptu Regular Card Tricks
+Liquid Metal
+Nothing - Max Maven
+Fraud
+Indecent
+Abyss
+Warp One
+Something Wicked Comes Your Way
+Northbound
+Rainmaker (Don't own it, but it looks interesting)
+Passin' Through
+Calling Card
+Third Degree Burn
+Electric Touch
+Card on Ceiling (Maybe)
+Wild Card
+Try to Create Something

Thats just a small list, and don't use all of them in one routine, but those are some suggestions.

Yes I definitely recommend anything with flash paper. Make sure that you are wearing rubber across the butt of your pants when you use it though, that way it won't hurt as much when they kick your little rear end out of the restaurant. Also make sure that your liability insurance will cover you because most will not cover fire tricks.

Flash paper has NO place in a restaurant show it can scare one of the customers and start a screaming fit and it will get you blacklisted on the spot.

Not to get on a diffrent topic here but Flash Paper does have its use in Resturant work you just have to use your head with who you use it for and what situations.
Little kids get scared, adults think its cool.

Yes, and remember that scaring your audience is a good thing.

Flash paper + restaurant - insurance = lawsuit + no more work as magician.

Imagine yourself in their place. YOU are seated in a resteraunt waiting for your food. A magician comes to your table and asks you if you want to see a trick. What tricks would amaze YOU. How would you like him to act. If the performance was good, would you give him a tip? All these things are what makes a perfomance your own. and most importantly- have fun. I f your having fun, so will they. :D
