OK i am 14 and have been doing magic for about a year. I have a variety of tricks for each table so each table doesnt see the same routine. A local restaurant wants me to do it and i told him ill call him when im ready. So i have about 3 tricks per table and ill have 3 different routines so thats nine tricks.
First routine/table: STS to start, magic mints, Northbound to close
second table/routine: ketchup bottle thru table, torn and restored napkin, quantum bandits
third routine/table: Floating napkin or dollar, the sizzle, pyro percption to close

what do you guys think?

I personally wouldn't do torn and restorn napkin....It's too elementary...And puncture isn't really a restaurant effect regardless that it's brilliant, maybe try doing a sponge ball routine or some mentalism. Greed would be a great trick too do, I have it for sale if you're interested.

You aren't ready yet, but by talking to these real magicians you could be very soon.

thanks for the great advice guys. my mom went to haines to buy a magic case for my birthday however i havent been there. i will stop by this week because my mom said we live about 20 minutes away

You should pick up a some sponge balls and a reputation maker like, Drink it up.

Balloons are great for the kids.
You might not want to do it, I find most magicians look down on balloon makers, but its really great for tips.
I give you something (balloon animal) now you give me something (tips)

I personally do not like balloons at all. So thats no for sure

Card toon 1 and 2, Multiplying Sponge bunnies, and Kids Kards get so much mileage for me.

A good Ambitouis Card and any other impromtu card routine for adults.

I personally think that you can perform almost any close-up effect in a restaraunt and get great reactions, but it's all in the presentation. If you can perform it flawlessly, then you're good to go.

what about doing something like the salt trick in Darwins Encyclopedia of TT Magic. Theres a whole lot of possible routines you could use from those DVDs.
