As Peter1-Paddy said. It all depends on what your style and how good you are at card manipulation.
Packet tricks
3 color monte- a classic effect that always plays well
Twisted Sisters- I always get great reactions with this one

Manipulation tricks
Card to impossible location- Wallet, Mouth, Shoe
Daley show- Or some other version like Blaine's 2 card monte as well.

I agree. When I was a child I used gimmicked decks. I wish I had learned legerdemaine magic long ago. Card manipulation is what you want to study. You will go much farther with your magic.
