Get Live at the Jailhouse, and Kirk Charles guide on the subject. It would save you a lot of trouble of asking these questions, and it would save us trouble. But to answer your question, it's not a definite answer. I wear a name tag from time to time. I don't always, but sometimes I do. I've heard both ways. Which is why I suggest those two sources, because they will answer all of your questions.

Kirk Charles guide on the subject does. It will answer any other questions you have that weren't answered in Live at the Jailhouse.

Thanks. I had no idea what you were talking about at first, then I looked over.

thegenius- There really isn't a simple answer. Yes, they can be quite helpful. Especially if you put something on it like "House Magician". But they aren't a must. I've worked at different resturaunts where I would feel out of place if I did wear a name tag. So it's depends on several factors. But here's some stuff to look out for:

Is everyone else wearing name tags?
Does the resturaunt want you to wear one?
Does it fit the style of the resturaunt?
What do you personally feel?

Kirk Charles guide on the subject would help a lot though. If you are serious about restaurant work, I really do suggest you get it. It will explain a lot that Live at the Jailhouse didn't really get into. But I hope my previous answer helps.

MagicTay,
I actually use the effect Hello My Name Is. Its a name tag effect that is a great opener and fixes the problem of name tag issues.
Only other flare I use is a tag that says Tips Appreciated.
