Do not try to entertain the cooks or really any of the staff while they are on the clock.

Not only am I a performing magician, I am also a chef.

We always have something to do while on the clock. IF not cooking- mise en place(ing), cleaning our tools , cleaning our area, cleaning our dishes, cleaning the stock rooms or organizing them,... always something to do.
As an Executive Chef, Suo Chef or even a Manager I would not allow it.

Same goes for the rest of the staff; waiters and such.

Smoke break? Shouldnt be... we encourage our chefs and cooks to not smoke before work, and dont allow them to smoke during work.

Just my 1 cent.
