I would know , if you arrive at a table with the hands wich are empty or if you prefer take a thing like for instance a deck of cards ?

When I start Performing, I'm going to do hands empty because what if they didn't want to see magic, you just have a deck of cards in your hands. But then I think having a deck of cards in your hands, or something is kinda good so they don't confuse you with an waiter.

I don't know this is just what im going to do, ask someone with experance.

Hands empty. I approach tables with my hands empty, for the most part.

Tay, why did you try to answer the question then admit you have no idea of what you're talking about. Jeeez D.A.

To answer the question. Never approach a table with something in your hands. If you are supposed to be a magician it looks a lot better if the items you are going to use suddenly appear. You are talking to the people and BING there is a deck of cards in your hand. Very simple effect, it's called misdirection.

After I thought about this I want to add. Have you ever seen a restaurant magician?? If you haven't why do you want to be one?
