Okay, well i have a show in another restaurant in about a months time (22nd Feburary) i was called up today and booked it. Now i have been working in a restaurant for a good 9 - 10 months doing walk around and im doing very well. So i know im prepared for the kids and adults that will be their and routines for both that are well prepared already so dont worry about that.

1 ) First question and the main question is eatting?

When i work at a restaurant i show a few quick effects maybe a transpo, then a pick a card then a ACR or something, but i break them all down into parts so that when, if food does arrive i can finish up nice and quick.

But what about at this venue, I have no clue, The show will go for about 1 hour - 2 hours, and what if i get a hour in and BAM the food comes out. What am i supposed to do sit down for 30minutes or more while they eat, although i have been doing shows for a while, i have never done weddings or been hired for a function inside another resaurant. And help should be appreiecated because i haven't been in this boat before and any help would be great. Thanks Guys.

2 ) Where to put my case?

Well the name explains it, when i go to my regular restaurant, I just throw my case out back and their you go, i lock it all up and then im fine. Or if im working a birthday party i just pop it on a tray jack and have it with me for the show and that helps me their, But as i have already explained this is not my regular restaurant, and i dont want to put it in a corner and make it look tatty, should i just ask management if i can keep it somewhere out of the way that i can pop back and forth too on the ocassion?, thanks again any help would be great.

It sounds like this is a banquet type venue. Is evryone eating at the same time? If so, and your show is BEFORE the meal, ask the kitchen staff what time they plan on serving the meal. They can probably give you a time frame. As for your case, keep it in a secure location but where you can still have access to it.

Thanks michal, i just called him up and asked him a few quesitons its, booked for the 22nd of Feburary, Sunday. From what he told me he is arriving at the restruant at 11:30 and wants me to ocme entertain at 1:30 which give them about a 2 hour time frame to eat, and it is a banquet like you said. Which is good, well better than i thought.

About the case. . . should i just pop it on a tray jack (keyboard stand) and put it in the corner or would that be bad for my and the restruants image?

It wouldn't hurt anyone's image either way. It's a matter of simple convenience for you. Although, it IS best to consider whether or not it's going to be in the way of other people. It's really a matter of personal preference.
