I think that 2 or 3 minutes after the table is cleared would be about the time people would take to finish their drinks and leave. This would also give the waitress/waiter time to let the hostess know the table is ready and wipe the table off and take the glasses back to bring out the silverware for the table. Maybe I'm just giving too much thought to it. I have never done restaurant work before, I have always done stage magic and Escapes. I would like to try it sometime, but like some on here I still have to work some things out about table Etiquette.

It's all about learning how to raise your social value in my opinion. Find a friendly table and or the table with drunk women and perform for them. Really stun them and when other people in the restraunt see their awe struck reactions, they will soften up and will be more willing to watch you perform, because you raised your status in the social context.

Look for a table that looks like they are having a good time. REALLY wow them with some of you best stuff, that way, other people in the restaurant will want to see you work because you have raised your SOCIAL VALUE.

(*cosigns*) totally agree on this; a bit of experience perhaps at busking, or even just actively watching someone experienced work on the streets, will teach you a lot about crowd management, who to select, who to not select, etc. ...
