Child labor laws also only apply to employing children. Paying one as an independent contractor or under the table is a different story. I owned a lawn mowing company when I was 12. It's all about professionalism which this kid may lack. Also don't use increased customer value as a selling point. Because when you don't deliver onthat they will fire you. Instead use less quantifiable and more qualitative selling points like keeping customers in long lines happy. It's a great selling point and is harder to measure than something like customer volume.
