I've been doing magic for a good while now, and am getting very comfortable doing it for people. Instead of worrying about what I'm doing and/or messing I can now focus on entertaining and performing my tricks. That said I'm going to be approaching our local Chili's shortly and wondered if Michael Ammar's EMCM vol. 2 (specifically) would be a good addition for what I already plan to do for my walk around. I'll definitly at the start of things be relying heavily on my card working skills:

-torn and restored
-ambitious card
-here then there
-quick trick
-jumbo card pridiction
-2 card monte
-an ace trick (from michael ammar's videos)
-anniversiry waltse
-club sandwich

As well as:
-effects with my TT
-stealth pen
-coins across
-raven
-nickels to dimes
-crazy man's handcuffs
-sponge balls
-and some watch steals

any input or inquirers welcome. and remember my initial question, how's vol. 2 Michael Ammar EMCM???

Vol 2 of the ETMCM is in my opinion the best of the series...a lot of the magic taught on this dvd/vhs are considered the best in magic (twisting, doc daley, card warp, that's it, etc)

You have a pretty strong card rotuine though...so I would recommend getting something else...maybe Hundy 500 lol :P

Good luck though!

I agree, Volume 2 is a great video. And I also agree, you seem to have alot of card material already. Maybe you should try some more coin magic or even some On The Spot magic.

I really apprecitate the first two replies, and decided not to get the EMCM video (at least not at this time), but I did get to add to my arsinal:

-color monte (i know more cards)
-shim quarter to go w/ my raven
-air borne glass (it cost me $8)
-color changing lighter
-cigarette catcher (they just keep coming)

... and I for got to mention in my first post that I have Ring Leader which is wonderful!

I've got the effects too, the HARDEST part is routining the effects, that's the thing you have to figure out.

I dont Recommend doing watch steals in restaurants when you are employed by it. People complain for every little thing even a little pickpocketing and giving back, But thats just me!!!! :D

Alright I finally sat down and took a look at what I am working with. I've found that MY one strength, if I had to pick one, is definitly cards. That being the case I believe at any giving table I'd open with one of three gimmicks, an effect/short routine w/n a routine with rubber bands or coins, and then end with my strength cards. I really think that people appreciate variety.

Now, What everyone wants to see/know (specifics):

Set up: coin finger palmed in one hand and giant "contact" from rattle box palmed in other hand.

-giant contact from eye
Patter: "I always have trouble with those things" :D As I put the contact in my pocket produce the quarter from spectators ear. Take coin and fake pass it from right to left, blow on it and drop from nose  . (taking the audiance into concideration)

-Bring out "4" more coins and do my coins across routine in their hands (utilizing the classic palm) After all the coins jump, a possible watch steal as I explain to them how it works.

Goodness that might be enough right there!!! what card tricks? :D but if not and time permits anyone of my favorite card tricks:

-my card trick (that is one I made up)
-here then there
-dunbury aces
-club sandwich
-anniversiry waltse

pm for more routine ideas
