What is yall's oppinion on the tarbell's course in magic books.

They are absolutly great! I highly reccomend you get them, even if you feel you are to advanced. They are good for all occasions.

It should be required reading for any magician. It is beyond just "GREAT!!!!" Another required read is "Mark Wilson's Course in Magic."

when you think that the books contain just about every effect invented in well over 100 years, or a variation of it, you have to wonder why they are so reasonably priced. I wouldnt ever sugest that the e-book version is better than the hard copy. It is very difficult to search through the books on screen.
I am told that there will soon be new volumes . I cant wait. What wonderfull goodies will they contain?
One flaw with the books though, is that beginners will find them dated. I say beginners, because after a while, learning, and performing, your imagination get's honed, and you can cut throught the older patter, or performance style, and get to the effect in a modern way that suits you.

an invaluable tool, and great asset to any beginner, or advanced performer. i have found them for only $20 a book! i would recommend getting the hard copies, and the cd as a backup as well. the cd contains info that the books don't, and vice versa. both have alot to offer.

i also found magic for dummies, and magic for idiot's to be very helpful. i love the dummies series, as they dont assume you already know anything about the art. alot of books will go into teaching assuming you already have a basic knowledge of the topic at hand. i even found it fun to read them today, as it took me back to when i was a kid, and the learning process was magic in itself. also as stated, the mark wilson book is a great book that you will always go back to, as i do today even after about 15 years of having it.

all my old books i have from when i was younger, are still in almost mint condition today, as i was always a neat freak, and very organized. i had placed them in zip lock, and grocery bags, and left them there when i took a few years break from magic. they are all still there till this day waiting for me whenever i need a quick reference. good books are priceless gems to have, and even better when you take care of them, and they are still in emaculate shape.

I have looked but can't find an e-book version anywhere. Could someone please tell me where I can find Tarbell Course in Magic on CD? Thanks.
