I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem that has come up. I've been working in a restaurant for a while now, and I'm in the process of moving and relocating in another city. Now the problem is, none of the restaurants in this new area have ever had a magician in their restaurant. So I was wondering how I should go about getting a restaurant to hire me. I'm very good but I'm afraid the restaurants won't want to pay me as much as they should. I'm afraid there just going to pay me, as much as they do their waiters and cooks. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm moving to an out of the way place. I still within driving distance of two city-like areas. Both are areas I'm sorta close to have a mall with a bunch of restaurants scattered around them. Paddy, I don't see how where I'm moving to makes a difference. I know that the restaurants haven't had a magician before.

well, the place does make a bit of a difference depending upno population, economy and the places friendlyness.

If you are going to be in Los Angeles the answer will be one thing, if you are going to A--hole Air Force Base in Podunk Alaska, it will definatly be different. Malls are private property and most will NOT allow you to be in the food court. Ruby Tuesday's in a mall here in Cincinnati hired me for a Xmas promotion, and they had to get Mall permission in order to allow me in. I had to show the mall my insurance policy and get a "Certificate of Insurance" nameing the mall as a "co-insured" before they let me. Maybe that is why they haven't had a magi. Get you liability insurance either through SAM, IBM, or Fellerman's then you amy get into a mall, but not before.
