Do you want a routine for walk around in a high school? You don't need one. Just go to people and perform. If you're doing an actual show, I'm not the one to help you.

I see something coming out of that statement that you didn't see when you typed it out.

You are not being very specific. Tell us what you want, what style you perform in, and what type of magic you do. THen we can give you suggestions on routines. You cannot just blurt out "Does anyone know any good routines for high schoolers?" and expect to get a good answer. We have to have a little insight on the details.

My expeirence with highschool and gimmiks was... bad. So i would go with things like:

Crazy man's handcuffs (Bandshark with Harlan)
recapped revisited (on the spot vid with Wilson)
Shaking change out of the pencap combined with striking vanish (Magic Farm with wilamson)

For cards i recomend small packet tricks

Eight card brainwave (ETM Card Miracles 1 with Ammar)
Skinner's Monte <-gimmicked, yeah but ive never got caught)

Cards are not allowed in some schools...

The best magic you can do in schools is with objects you can find lying around the classroom, like rubber bands, paper clips, money, paper, notebooks, calculators etc.

Now, My Senior English teacher declared every friday in her class "Magic Friday" and turned over the last fifteen minutes of every friday to me for mini performances. On those days I perform card effects for the class as well as bits and pieces of my comedy adult stage routines.

Great ideas Kyle. I have a really nice rubber band routine that I do when I see rubber bands sitting around. I do Paper Balls Over the Head with borrowed notebook paper. With all these fancy Graphing Calculators these days, you can easily program a message into someones calculator in a matter of minutes. You can do a crazy prediction like that. I do a card to calculator (signed card folded up in the battery compartment). I do recap with borrowed pens. Dough with borrowed pencils, dollars, and sticky notes. There are endless possibilities.

Magic Fridays huh? I'll try to suck up to some of my teachers and maybe I'll land myself 15 minutes out of the class every now and then.
