First off, all the negative feedback is very disapointing.
Starting off in a restraunt is a very good idea for one to get used to performing for strangers. Some very good walk-around magic is an invisible deck. Sponge balls are mostly a stage effect. The stealth pen would be an excellent choice, mabey consider the three shell game, people find this one very entertaining, as well as the card monte. The more experience you have the better you will feel performing for people.

I gotta give it to you for trying..

Altho i agree with what others are saying about it being a bad way to build confidence.

Also, for those of you who knocked him for having sponge balls and some cards, DO SOME RESEARCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A magician (i cant remember the name, but some old schoolers will know this) went to perform FOR THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND, (this was within the past 15-20 years) among the queen of england, there were about 1000-1500 other people in the audience.. He goes out on stage, WITH 2 SPONGE BALLS AND 5 PLAYING CARDS AND BRINGS DOWN THE EFFING HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not what you have, its HOW YOU PRESENT IT!

Im with biclye kid. I don't think starting out in a restaurant is such a bad idea. Especially if your gonna be there later at night. I mean what better conditions; The lighting is usually perfect, If they serve booze u wont have a real tough crowd, People are usually really nice and perceptive. I say go to a restaurant with a few tricks and go for it, do a trick here and there. Im not talkin about a whole frikin show here, im talking about a lil something to help you get over the jitters which i also had at one point. I think you learn more on the spot any ways. So i say go for it!

Make a video, and post it of your entire routine.. We can help you with you being ready to perform or not.. It will make the difference in you going and doing a kick [edited] job, or going and looking like a fool

He is now in a wheel chair due to having MS.
I got his autograph at the Blackpool magic convention.
He is a great magician who needs more recognision for what he has done in the magic community.

Dont want to sound rude or anything, but you have not seen me perform. How do you know Im no good? I happen to be very good, Ive had magicians watch me and be amazed. There is not one person I perform for that does not leave that spot laughing their head off and wondering how in the world I did that stuff. Just my 2 cents.

By the way. I just want to let you all know that I got a bunch of solid, exellent routines, I am going to ask for money, it is a family enviroment, very busy, and the way it is laid out is perfect for performing. I havent gotten the job yet. But almost there.
