If any of you guys want to see the best pickpocket movie ever made I highly recommend HARRY IN YOUR POCKET (1972) starring James Coburn. It was written and directed by Bruce Geller, the same guy who wrote and directed the Mission Impossible tv series from the 1960s-70s. The movie centers around a ring of pickpockets, how they operate, how they practice, all the tricks of the trade are shown in detail. I waited four decades for this classic to finally be released, the only vhs copies ever released went to movie rental houses. Here's Amazon's link to the dvd:

Unlike the Tom Cruise movies, the old tv series used tons of magician's principles in their plots and schemes to accomplish everything from bringing down drug lords to overthrowing entire regimes. It's almost as if their books on tradecraft was the Fitzkee trilogy.
