I would recommend the book, really more of a pamphlet, Go On... Steal Yourself by James Freedman. It's short, inexpensive, and the teaching is very good. It's very good for someone just getting in to pickpocketing, there's nothing too complicated, but it's well presented and easy for a rookie to learn.

Some may disagree, but I honestly liked Coats and Byrd's Pickpocketing...I think that's what it's called. Anywho, it has good all around material for all types of pockets, no pockets, belts, ties, hanging items, misdirection, and to top it all off, and ambidextrous point of view! Now how much would you pay?
