Laughs usually quiet my nervs. There's a trick where you take out a smallish asprin bottle and out comes this huge pill.

They know your nervous but if you turn it into a trick (even a lame one just to get a laugh) then they'll complement you on your acting and you can relax a bit as everyone enjoys an opening laugh.

Nah, makes people think you do drugs......

Instead, look at hands and say, "Sorry, it's my first day with these new hands, and I'm still working out some of the bugs." Then do Webs.

The best way, pratice. I used to shake alot, the more i performed the less shakey i got. Now i dont at all.

when you do magic, your supposed to act a little, you kind of develop a character for your magic, your no longer you, your this powerfull being. maybe make the nervousness a part of your character.

i had the same prob. everyone does. its because you know how the trick works, a trick looks terrible after you know how its done. you have to realize that when you slip up, they are not expecting it so they dont catch it. practice with a person close to you, then do a trick for two relatives, then your family, then your family plus a friend, and just keep going untill your comfortable. i dont get the shakes when i get nervous, i get this weird feeling, but i have grown to like it. it is like my fuel to perform.
