I'm not asking for any exposure in this thread, I just want some help. At school ( even though it is not the perfect place to perform) everyone now knows that I can "bend coins" because of one big mouthed kid. This has never happened to me but I know that it will come soon. If I don't have my "gimmick" and people say "bend this coin" what should I do?

What do you exepct when you perform for some one. Not to talk about it. That doesnt make him big mouth. edited i love when that happens, word of mouth is one of the greatest forms of advertising and free.

But if at the time your asked and you cant perform it, say you dont have the strength; your fingers are sore, you jammed a finger.

And tell them that you will do it for them in a day or two. And then do it when you have it.

you might want to pick up morgan's "the closer" if you don't already have it. i dont own the effect, but you can borrow a coin and have it signed. sounds perfect.

Yeah but i dont personally use The Closer. Its too hard for me to preform

Get the coin, make it vanish and say something to the effect of "It must be afraid of me, it ran away."

or just say no...i dont feel like it...if they say you cant do it then say fine..wait a couple of days and ill do it

Just switch the coin they give you with an already bent one, but of course it can't be signed. While you do it act like you're bored of doing it and like it's too easy or something. Show that you don't really want to do it again (at least right now).

you could keep a couple of gimmicked bended coins handy and make a switch

yeah have pre bent coins and do a bobo switch. Say after like two bends "some other time my fingers still hurt"

dont do it unless you got the benders......i mean you do it once, theyll want it signed and figure out it was already prebent

If they keep bothering you get a prebent coin as said and then show them and let them examine the unbent one, do a fake transfer and tel them it's easy and anyone can do it, place the bent one in their and and close their and and tell them to squeeze...THEY JUST BENT THE COIN SO NOW THEY ARE MAGIC.
