I generally say something along the lines of " I did something? Well what was I did?" Then when the say what the trick was I will say something along the lines of " Well maybe that will work better next time!"

Here is one I've has since a long time, it originated from John Scarne.


"It takes 4 hours a day of practise for 25 years"

They reply, "But your only 19"

"Yes but I practise 8 hours a day"
