What to say when someone asks to examine an unexaminable trick.

start pulling off your pants and "say sure you can examine this"

Try to move on to another effect and take their mind off of the previous one.

Also, put effort into making the item seem normal, or to switch it for another 'examinable' item.

"Whose the magician here? Me, or you?" Mainly one I use when people ask to shuffle my deck, but it could work for people wanting to examine something.

That's quite rude to say to a spectator. It has to fit your style, and hopefully come off as comediac. Otherwise, it will just sound rude.

I work extremely hard to either ditch or prove to them its a normal item/deck/coin at the beginning of the effect so I don't have to worry about them getting grabby.
But if they do I'm always ready with a funny joke or line.
I like (which was posted some where on this site before) "You sure can but these items were not cheap so I'm going to need a 1000 dollar deposit"
or "Please hold all questions and comments till the end of the presentation please" and I continue to another trick.
"The show is not over folks, I need a assistant and some dynamite for my next effect. Ok then just an assistant".

here are some ideas that might help you out

1.dont do gimmick tricks that can't be switched out.
2.try and handle it like a normal object so they dont think it is "abnormal"
3.your spectators dont have to examine EVERYTHING, so you can use unswitchable gimmick tricks just use them in moderation
