Response to "how did you do it?"

Sometimes when someone asks, "How'd you do that?" I say' "Can you keep a secret?" They'll say "Yeah". Then I say "So can I!"

When you are asked, "How did you do that?" You can answer..."Watch this" and launch into a trick where you can have them assist you (card, coin, silk, anything). When they are the one that winds up "finding" the missing coin, or buried card, ask THEM..."How'd you do that?" They won't know what to say. Smile widely and then hit them with..."Now you know how I feel up here!" Everyone gets a laugh from that kinda stuff. Feel free to use your audience...not abuse them.

if they ask you,"how'd you do that" simply say some wierd thing like "Confucious say:Man who stand on toilet is high on pot", it works everytime, just try it, directly after begin another effect though.

One of my favorite replies, not my own creation, but a good one is "it's easy all you need is some invisible thread and a couple of 9-volt batteries and you can do the same thing." Usually gets a good laugh, especially with something like cards.

I like to say, "I know what you mean. I keep asking George how he does that one and he won't tell me either." Of course, they follow up with "Who is George?" I respond with, "He's one of my other personalties. We don't get along very well." Then I procede with my next effect.

Sometimes I when asked that I pause, get a puzzled look on my face and say "I don't know". It's fun to see how they react.

just point randomly to parts of the table where ur performing and say "theres a mirror here, and here, and a smoke machine here" after all, it ia all smoke and mirrors, isn't it?
