One of my favourite tricks to do is a routine I developed using the Svengali card pack. usually when this is performed a lot of people ask me to do it again.

Depending on your settings (where your performing the trick) there are various options that Ive used to get out of [erfprming it again. The most simplest is before lectures where you can reply saying "Looks like theres not enough time, mabye after lecture" It's then a good option to leave ASAP after the lecture. That usually works for me, but in one case we had a nice lecturer who insisted on seeing the trick again.

Otherwise simple phrases such as "Sorry, It'd take too long to set up" or "Mabye you'd prefer this..." are the ones that work best for me

There's 100's tricks you haven't seen me do, and you ask me to do the one i just did. If i did that could be classifiyed as "Stupid".

"Do it again":

My personal replies:

"I can't. Thats the only time it ever worked."
"I'm trying to cut back to only once a day."
"If I do, They will come and break my wand." (No wand required)
"Can I do it again? Yes! Will I, No."
"I can't do it again... the moon and sun have left the proper allignment."

...and my personal favorite...

"Let me show you something better......."

"do it again" or "Do another trick"

say : "Im not a dog, i cant do tricks on command." Huge Laugh

"For 10 dollars I will do it again."

Most people won't pay and if they do...all the better.

Absolutely, I would love to do it again. (Hand them your card and say:) I am gald you enjoyed my promotional entertainment, just let me know when you would like to book a performance and you'll see that one and much more. I do have to put food on the table and this is how I make my living. If your a student in school and being bothered by this give them a choice.

1. I can do it again but that's gonna cost ya. (The object here is to get them to ask you "how much?") Price: Well usually I charge $100.00 but for you it's half price.

or

2. If you don't have any money I can give you a shot at wining a crisp hundred dollar bill. (Option to see "There is a sucker born every minute" aka "Bank Night") If they take you up on this make sure they know part of the deal is if they don't pick the right envelope they cannot ask you to see any more magic. (Substitute any impossible challange here)

Yet another idea:
Show him a Charlier cut and say "If you want to learn how I did it so bad that you have to see it again, first you got to learn the basics. Learn that first (Charlier cut). When you can do this get back with me and I'll show you what you want to see again."

Or just tell them about a website where he can down load it like this one.

I usually just sluff it off by saying, "Well, let's just see something a little different and better..." and when you get to the finale and they just HAVE to know how you can do the cost line...My favorite from this thread? The one where you tell them it's half price...LOL..
