the only problem I have with this trick is the confidence to actually preform it lol....I always thinks they're going to catch me do the MAIN MOVE....I don't know if I can say it or not but I'm sure you know what I mean

Pick up Royal Road to Card Magic, it teaches a fairly decent Ambitious Card routine, and it will give you the chance to see if Card Magic is your thing or not.

the svengali deck is a great way to do the ambitious card trick:)

The Invisble Deck is a great idea for an out, but what if you have the person sign the card?

Daryl's Ambitious Card DVD has got to be one of the best resources on this routine.

Just pretend you did it claim the spectator missed the move. Then repeat the trick and get it right.

Does anyone know where I can learn the closer for this effect where the card appears folded up in the performer's mouth? I always close the effect with the pop-up move.... always gets huge reactions, but I especially like where it ends up in the mouth. I have seen this performed several times but am unaware of the technique or where it can be learned. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks to all my fellow penguins in advance!! Peace. *street*

Duplicate cards and invisible decks are cool ideas but I usually have the spec sign their card. I'm curious to hear what you guys think if a signed card doesnt return to the top.

I get what your saying, but I have more issues with the tilt move, especially when ppl start walking up and watching...

In Royal Road to Card Magic, page 16, there's a very practical method for this. Do an overhand shuffle, with the cards facing you, until you spot the signed card. Cull it by simply cutting the deck at that card. Use the overhand shuffle control to move it to the top of the deck, with a card or two on top of it. Riffle shuffle, keeping your three loaded cards on top. Now you're ready to do a DL or TL, and away you go!

While doing the above, calmly patter as follows: "I know it looks as though your card is hopelessly lost. But let's make really sure it is. I'll shuffle the deck once, twice, three times, cut the deck, shuffle again, riffle shuffle just for good measure, snap my fingers, and here's your card!"

No reason the spectators have to know that wasn't part of the act all along. Who knows? Maybe you'll like it and incorporate that into your AC routine!
