what should i say when people ask me 'where do you learn your magic tricks? books? who taught you?' ... i dont mind when they say 'how do you do that?', but these questions kinda bug me.

i usually just say something vague like ive just always been able to do it.... or something dumb...

any suggestions? thanks

i try to just ignore them, but if that person is the only spectator then i just tell him to look it up in the dictionary(suprisingly they will really do it), or go look in an encyclopedia.

I would probably ask them if they were really interested in performing.

I always say "If I told you, you wouldn't believe me" because it's true.

(Mystically) "Oh, powers like these are not the sort that can be taught. A mortal must give up his soul for the powers of the magi. A thousand years of self-inflicted torture, hanging from the tallest towers of the underworld."

8) "So, kid, you still want to learn magic?"

It all depends on who asks and when if i have a really young kid or an adult, I just usually say something like, i don't know i just know how to do it. But if i have a person who seems like they want to learn I encourage them to go to the library and read about magic.

another thing to say if people ask "how do you do that" is to say "i did it quite well if i do say so myself" and either perform another trick or walk away.
