I posted this up in General Discussion and decided it would be best in here....What one-liners do you use to approach a spectator? Some examples are:
-Do you Believe in miracles? YES: Then you'll like this. NO: Maybe after this you will.

- Do you want to see something that transcends the mind?

any more?

"Look"

"Have a second?"

"Lemme show you somethin" <-- if in conversation or on friendly terms
"Lemme show you some magic" <-- if stranger

Or the really bold, go up to someone and without saying anything -- say NOTHING -- and go into your most visual and brief effect. I've done this to great effect.

I don't think I would be brave enough to do either without the fear of being slapped...

Uhhh... not really... it's kind of funny actually, well, at least IMO. He did state that it was from Eddie Fechter as well.

Sorry, Jamberry. I have edited my post. I honestly didn't mean to offend anybody.

I just walk up and say, "Do you believe in magic?"

I like to approach people in as natural a way as possible... "You wanna see something amazing..." I don't like that... it sets up too many expectations. Here's an example of my method...

The other day I was standing outside of a lecture hall smoking and there was another girl who I'd never met smoking nearby. Unfortunately she wasn't hot, but I was in a magic mood. I finished off my cigarrette but before I tossed the butt I prepared myself for the ashes in the palm trick that david blaine did on his 1st special. I went up to the girl and acted excited... "Hey, is that a clove you are smoking?!"
"Yea," she relpied... (Ok, the comment was a little random... but I still think better than, "wanna see something cool")
"Awesome!" I said, "Cloves have these really weird properties that hardly anyone knows about... you gotta check this out... hold out your hand..."

Then I did the trick... I think that's one of the best approaches I've ever had.
