I mostly like to do card magic but my school doesn't allow playing cards. About the only time I can do card tricks is after school so realized I could do it with the guy I walk home with. The thing I hate is that everytime I do a trick to him he'll find someway to ruin the trick before I have even finished. Sometimes he doesn't mean to do it but I always know something is goin to happen. With the ambitios card he bumped my arm one of the cards showed in the DL. In the Biddle Trick he starts looking through the deck in the middle of the trick and sees the upsidedown card. I was really getting annoyed and then I thought to try the the two card monte. I knew that there would be know reason that he would look at the cards because Oz's version is played as a guessing game. I'm doing the trick and everything is going along fine, but then he drops the cards and sees them(this will make more sence to you if you know the trick). I was so mad him.

I wouldnt be showing any more magic to him. simple. =]

If he delibrately ruins your first trick, chances he'll do the same with the rest. I think you'd do best just to stop after that. From what I've seen, carrying on can result in a lot of exposure.

now's your chance to practice slight of hand.

offer him some cookies, then fake transfer and switch in a doggy bisquit.

after that, bark at him everytime you want to show a trick and you think he might do something stupid.

i remember when i was first startin and i would perform for a few ppl... i wasnt flawless with my tricks, but good enuf to fool just about everyone... except one guy who completely called out the secret to my trick in front of everyone... in the middle of the trick... it can get frustrating...

but i dont perform again for ppl like that so i suggest u do the same... those ppl would be more content with exposin u than gettin entertained...
