in some instant downloads, 2 cards need to be stuck together. i was performing one of these and a spec yelled out. "hey thats 2 cards stuck together." how do you respond?

Try to handle the card naturally. It really shouldn't be too hard considering they are stuck together, and if they are aligned, no one should notice. Someone called me out for that while I did Instant Download that can't be named, and I haven't really done any effects like that since. Then again, it only happened once out of the many times I performed it. Just show the face and back of the card, and handle it as if it was one card. Toss it from hand to hand. Drop it on the table. It shouldn't be easy for the spectators to catch.

Learn some ungimmicked tricks. They seem harder to catch for some reason. I find it more natural to whirl around a DL than two cards stuck together.

Flap the cards, showing that they are "individual". This always work well for me when I perform NFW (which is rare).

If the spectator is positive that he/she has seen two cards, and you are pretty sure that you have messed up big as well, just do a Hammon Count with all of your cards and make a joke out of it. So if you have 4 cards, you can do the count and say something like "No... I have 7." Just make a joke out of it.

Another approach is to just nod your head and keep going on with the trick.
