Ok what do i do, one of my "critics" aka family friends is very intelligent and had no clue about the DL ect. basically picking up extra cards and then one of her friends was like look at this and showed her while he was setting up and ruined several of my best card tricks!

I have DL by Gregory Wilson, he teaches plenty of things on his tape that would still fool them using the DL.

he ruined the DL because he didn't do it correctly and the cards were'nt aligned. if you do it correctly for them, they will not even have a clue, as they only see one card.

True enough ... although I recently read about one famous magician (I forget his name right this minute) who was performing a trick involving a DL to a Formula One race car driver. The guy didn't catch on to the DL, but he later asked how the magician kept making the card change thickness (his eyes were so sharp that he easily noticed the thickness changes).

Wow! Talk about having eagle eyes, now that's impressive.

if the DL was performed correctly, then the person should have only seen the top of the card, and not the sides. lol but that is funny
