Ditching a gimmick

When I ditch my TT, %98 of the time I put it in my BACK POCKET (opposite of my wallet). It seems everyone that I perform for NEVER ask to see my back pockets, only my front pockets.

that's what I do, hope it helps :wink:

if those don't exist, you could go and get that idea patented or whatever it is called... make a lot of money selling those to magicians and non-magicians... non-magicians could just use it as extra storage

i have an old shirt pocket sewn in the the bottom back hem of my shirt! say you have n itch, and keep the gimmick out of sight, while pretending to scratch.

In case of emergency: yell "holy crap!" and when they look, put it in a napkin! :lol:

If your using spongeballs, carry a "Squeaker" in your pocket, tell them you have to get the magic squeaker (this gives you a reason to go into your pockets), then palm and switch. When you get confident enough and can properly use isolation of intrest and misdirection you can drop the squeaker or use it to add alittle laughter for the kids.

Follow it with a trick with wands. Ditch the gimmick and get you're wands. Wands are intended, mostly, so that you can get the wand and throw away whatever you're palming. Works wonders, and wands aren't suspicious.

If they cant enjoy my magic without having to try and expose it or figure it out, and cant live in the moment let them find another magician, noone touches my stuff, examinable or not. but to be honest, noone has ever asked me if they can see somthing, or to Empty my pockets.
