I'm sure some one has already asked this but, I usually perform the Balducci levitation, what do you say when you screw up? so far, I've only been caught twice. (and left speechless usually)

Ok, the post is difference than the poll.

I would say, "Did you actually believe I was levitating?" (They respond) "Let me show you a better trick".

Thats way to obvious, they know you just messed up, and If you go to high school like I do, you'll never hear the end of it, got anything better?

what u do is...when u mess up, jump up in the air and say "WHALA! I have levitated!" then go onto ur next trick. Thats even good enough to be its own humor trick.

honestly, if your going to try something like a levitation, you better be pretty sure you gonna pull it off, make sure all of your angles are taken care of and the circumstances allow the balducci to be performed....

but i know mistakes happen, what you'll wanna do is make a joke out of it...dont ever, ever, EVER try and really explain a mistake...

maybe turn around and ask, "did you see that?" they say yes. Then maybe say something like, "hmmm....pick a card any card?"

just say something that will make em laugh and continue with your routine, both examples listed above will work just fine..also there is a thread just recently posted that has 17 different options...

say something like you've gotten the levitational forces to the wrong part of your body...you just can't get your feet off the ground..then say that you'll try something else and then either go into the floating dollar bill or levitate something with loops...

i'll just say here let me try that again i didn't quite get off the ground. but u shouldn't be performing unless u got it down real good.

Or you could admit you screwed up. Enough people know the balducci to spot it even if you do it right.
