I've never been asked this before but I might tomorow, I already have some nice things to say like if someone asks how I did that, I say: "pssst, can you keep a secret, yeah? So can I! Anyway I need some advice, thanks!

There's a really good discussion in the Outs and One-liners forum. I just read it. Good stuff, good stuff.

With 100 people, no one will ask. If some kid yells it (which they won't) just move away towards some other part of the group (you should be moving throughout the show anyway) and talk to them. You should be maintaining eye contact with everyone.

But, it is too late to do much help here with crowd control. Just relax and you will do fine. Stage magicians generally do not let people look at props. In fact you will have more trouble after your show, then during it. After the show, just state infatically, "no, you may not touch." Definately get the host (or family) to help. Tell them before the show, that you cannot have people come to your set up area after the show. They will understand and maybe help after the show.

You may also tell them, "You may see it again at my next performance!"

Yah i dought anyone is going to ask to see something you have in front of 100 people...Alot of people are to shy anyway...but if by some chance they did, what i would do is ask..."who said that." if they responded, walk in their direction with your next effect ready to go and say, "oh, you like that huh...well if you like that then you'll love this, watch!!!"
I would either do that or just continue with my show and act like i didn't hear anything, because if it's good enough of an effect for someone to ask to see it again or see your prop, then is should be good enough to get a reaction from a crowd, and with 100 people you could easily be able to convince that you didn't hear...

Hope it helped,
A.g
