People ask me these questions almsot in all my performances.

I ussually say to them ''Years of practise and study''.

Use that fraze - it 's good.

For answering "Howd u Do That?", you should buy the book "Magic for Dummies". It has a ton of answers in one of the sections for questions that the audience may always ask.

For "How did you do that?" I say, "Well!"

And for "Where did you learn that?" I just take the easy way out, and say "I forgot."

Works everytime

Yeap.. They always ask "Who taught you this and that, where did you learn this and that" or "could you teach me some so that i could impress some girls".

Sighz ... Make me wonder has magic become a way of impressing girls lol ? i would say its just pure entertainment, nothing more onto impressing anyone.

"How did you do that?"

Pretty well, thanks!

With style!

Easily!

With skill obtained from years of study and practice!

"Where did you learn that?"

At home, in my spare time.

From my friends in the International Brotherhood of Magicians.

From watching other professional magicians.

From many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore.

The answer that I gave above is for where. ''Where did you learn that''? ''Years of practice ans study''.

So it 's like your saying to them that you study magic and you read alot of books.

Simple!

When people asked me "how did I do that", I always used to say "Very well," or something to that effect. However I've got bored with that and I've moved on to the funnier "Do what?"

If someone asks you where you learnt a particular trick, you could get into an argument about the fact that they themselves first showed the trick to you. When they deny ever knowing the trick you could tell them that they also taught you how to erase someone's memory so you tried it back on them.

Probably the weirdest, most annoying yet most effective way to stop people asking questions is to answer a different question instead.

- "How did you do that?"
- "No I've never been to Australia."

As long as you can answer questions like that with other questions' answers, you can really confuse spectators and after a while they'll just give up.

One magician gave an anecdote about how when walking in the street, a tough guy approached him, obviously looking for a fight. "What are you looking at?" he said, to which this magician calmly said, "The wall outside my house is not 4 feet high." The guy got so confused by the ususual response that he just froze before slowly walking off.

My favourite way of dealing with the second question is to look like your thinknig about it for a few seconds, amke it lok like you are really pondering over it, and then just simply say "I don't know. Do you?" Usually gets a few laughes if its done right, but really puts people off asking... as for "How did you do that" the easiest thing to say is "Really well thanks"

Roleson,

You will notice that next to each one of your posts, on the right side, there is a little button that says "Edit." Next time you mistype something, or you need to change/add something to one of your posts, simply EDIT the original one. That way, you don't have to create a whole new reply.
