What do you say to someone when they say to do it over again. Saying no doesn't make you sound very good, and saying no, if i do it again you'll find out how to do it just makes you sound like you suck?

This allways happens to me. All you must do is tell them its magicians code to not do a trick more than once. If they want an explination to why you cant do it again simply tell them that the first time they watch to enjoy the trick, the second time they look for an explination TO the trick. There for making it a VERY bad choice for you and a good one for them, but they just have to act mature enough and accept your not doing it again. And if they do keep complaining tell them you wont perform for them no more.

Why not do a different trick with the same items. For instance, if you do Scotch and Soda, and they want to see it again, instead, follow with a good Copper/Silver Transposition.

Yep I'll repeat it as many times as they want. Actually if I don't like how they ask the first time or if they ask a third time then I do the following:

I repeat the same trick but terribly, I allow everything to be exposed but still complete the trick with some rubbish and 'can't be arsed' patter. Now the magicness has basically been sucked right out of everyone, I then shout to the persistant persons face 'Did you like that? Huh! Have you seen it enough bud! Good! I hope you're all miserable! Magic is just another fake attraction to steal your money! Get the edited out of my face!'

Now everyone is miserable. And it makes them realise everything would've been much more enjoyable if they just kept their gobs shut.

So wait, since they might ruin the magic by asking you to repeat the trick, you do it again and purposely ruin the trick. What purpose does that serve?

I don't do it if I'm being paid.

But if I'm not being paid, just trying to make people have fun. Then getting angry and ruining the magic makes me feel better, it's like taking a dump in your worst enemies rucksack and no one finding it out it was you... It makes you feel great.

I will never do a trick more than once. You can't. Firstly, the audience will be watching more closley and may worck out how the trick is done. Also it spoils it for them because they know whats coming next. For most tricks, the audience don't know what your going to do next, but if you repeat a trick.........

So if someone asks me to repeat a trick, I normally say 'Well you've allready seen it, why do you wan't to see it again?' -it normally shuts them up.
