If they agree, then you are in real trouble.

I usually don't need to ask. I just do it.

What do you do when you are with relaxing with friends or even in deep conversation, and one enters the room _instructing_ ..."Hey magicman, show me a trick!" ? The attention can initally be great, but it wears off.

They all have seem me perform and know about my magic, so there's no need to impress. The others have the look of "we don't want to see magic now".

I find this very annoying, and I can't refuse. Without being rude, I've said things like:

- "Sure, for a price." (This just gets a laugh)
- "Later, I'm busy." (They just keep insisting)

or I'll just do a old quick gag, like separating my index finger, but by that time I am performing, which is not what I want to do when relaxing and chillin'.

What are some suggestions of controlling these type of 'fans'?

just tell them that they have to leave the room for a min while you set up for a stage trick, then just leave them out of the room and never call them in.

LOL

Advice about treating your spectators without respect is not going to do any good.

Obviously if you handle this in a joking manner, most spectators will laugh and think that you are funny. You shouldnt do it in a rude manner, it is all about how you deliver it dude.

Also, I would like to bring up that danny cole has a very nice way of doing his bill through quarter at any time any day. If you see his lecture any time, you should go to it.

Actually, if I were to ask someone to leave the room, I'd give them a deck of cards and to select a card in the other room.
