You should just attack them and tell them to shut the f up

Or you can go to the outs and one-liners section and get more helpful advice. :)

Ya, telling them to "shut the f*** up" would look real great at a kids show...

Go to the 'out and one liners' forum and check it hasn't been posted allready. If it hasn't, then I would post this there. Your likely to get more help there.

If someone says "I know how to do that", play along with them and tell them "that's great, when did you learn about this trick". No need to make a scene or get all bent out of shape about it.

It means there is a magician in the audience, so you say "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a magician in the audience."

Last kids show i was performing, some kid says ''that was soooo crap'' so I got out my flick knife and I said ''Hey someone is volunteering for the knife-thru-heart trick. It WOULD be really crap if it didn't work, but FUC K IT.''

Unfortunately I had to chase him to perform the trick...it didn't work anyway

Nick, you're not cool because you space your words so that they show up. It's actually kind of stupid and sooner or later a mod will notice.

When someone says that they caught my trick, depending on who they are, it opens up a few replies. If they are a kid, I usually will just lean down, put my finger to my lips, and tell them to be quiet. If it's an adult or someone trying to disrupt my tricks on purpose, I lean down, put my hand to the side of there head and... no, I say well I'm going to show you guys what I do to 5 year olds that refuse to be quiet during the show. Then I casually put my cards up and walk off. You have to know, I don't do many paid shows. Most of what I do is at church and, before I graduated, in school. I don't suggest being a smart alleck and just walking off at paid shows.

First of all you should be performing well enough where that situation doesnt come up. but if it does, and sometimes it happens. when someone says, "I know how you did that", I usually reply, "Cool me too, Clever isn't it?"

Over the years I've learned that most of the time someone thinks they know how you did something, they dont. They are either wrong, or trying to get you to drop your gaurd and tell the method. I like to use a quick, witty, funny remark. Always helps.
