When working with a stripper deck, I tend to fan it in my left hand, then close the fan with my right, automaticaly turning the deck. Sometimes though, I've gotten a wise-guy or two, who start to put the card back normally, but at the very last second, flip it over, by which point there is no natural way for me to turn the pack. Can someone help with an idea for dealing with people like that?
Also, I have a mirage deck (same principle as the svengali, just treated) and it works wonders for me, but how do you respond when someone says "riffle it the other way again, they are all the same when you do one way, but different the other" in front of an audience? and keeps insisting that you show it off for everyone.
I don't generaly do a comedic routine either, so it's even harder to get away with things like that.
