I usually tell them that I don't know what they're talking about. I had a lady ask me what I was thinking about when I do my metal bending routine. It's kind of interesting.

After doing a Scotch and Soda trick for a waitress, (was a bet that I could make one of the coins disapear in her hands for a round of free drinks) she demanded to know how I did it.

I told her that I attended school at Hogwarts.

She replied "I didn't know that was a REAL school!"

I swear.

And just think. People like her are responsible for cooking your food and giving it to you. That'll give you faith in the ol' system, won't it?

I generally don't get the "How'd you do that?" question because I don't present as though it's a puzzle to be solved. I usually just get the "Daaaayummm" response.

When I do get the "How'd you do that?" question, I answer with a shrug, a little smile, and a light chuckle. Then I go on.

i say step by step wat i did: example i put in all things nessecary to bake a cake in dove pan and make a rabbit apear

easy my friend 1st i put in sugar flour an raw egg and a lit match in a pan, put the lid on and took it off and there was a rabbit there!

i usually just say "magic", or if "i told you than it wouldnt be a secret" you know something like that, so i can add a little humour in.
