I perform tricks using the striking vanish( Jay's Leaving home) and the goshman pinch (Mr clean coins across) on a regular basis.
But even after so much of practice when performing the trick to some people if by accident if i drop a coin of key(which was hidden secretly) !! What should i do? What can i really say to the audience??
Really what kind of "out" can i employ???

Just to tell you, everyone messes up eventually. Eugene Burger messed up Eugene's Last Dollar during the lecture. His response was "Dammit, that wasn't supposed to happen." Everyone got a big laugh out of that.

Say something like 'That's the first time that's happened again'

It worked in the magic shop

where the f*ck did that come from and just stare at your hand

or 'Everybody... I'm going to come clean with, this is just misdirection whilst my assisstant puts the elphat into the next room for my final trick

That's all I can think of at the mo.

Stand very still, frozen for a long time like you have no idea what happend.

If you drop a key maybe pick it up hold it up and say well the key to that trick is obviously practice.
Kinda makes them then think that was a deliberate thing to do just for humour.
