If we didn't have hecklers-- god forbid-- then magic would be really, really, dull. Some of the best entertainment value comes from a snappy reply to a heckler. As the great Mitchell Grinn says: If ya can't fight it, feature it!!

I find the best way to handle a heckler is to steal their watch early on in the show. That way, with their watch in my pocket, it gives me lots of confidence and I just let them go on and on about how they know how I do everything etc. Little do they know, they are digging their own grave. At the end of the performance I reveal the watch and the whole crowd has a good laugh. The heckler is left with nothing to say. BTW, I don't do this vindictively or in a nasty way, I just do it good naturedly and in the same fun nature as the rest of the show. Often, this will turn the heckler into your biggest fan.
